SAP
expands its Castify EBN™ infrastructure to 120 C-ROUTERS and purchases
large file delivery modules
Sophia
Antipolis, 27th August 2007- SAP AG of Germany purchased
additional C-Routers to increase the size of its application
acceleration and content delivery infrastructure to 120 nodes.
C-Routers are located in SAP offices around the globe and power live
and on-demand video communication, speed up file transfers through WAN
optimization, and accelerate web services for remote users.
In
addition to its commitment of increasing the size of its EBN
infrastructure SAP also acknowledged the open EBN architecture for use
with multiple applications. SAP purchased additional WAFD plug-modules
for C-Routers that augments the C-Router functionality for Wide-Area
File Delivery of large files (WAFD). The WAFD functionality allows for
faster delivery of large files in a bandwidth-optimal manner to
locations around the world. SAP staff in remote offices is now enabled
to access the voluminous data at LAN speed in their local office much
faster than before.
Castify
EBN software spans an overlay network across existing IP networks. EBN
optimizes data and video transfers for the benefit of users, and
reduces operational cost for the IT provider.
Castify
EBN is the only software platform that allows for scalable video
delivery (live and on-demand), WAN optimization, and web service
acceleration with a single platform.
